ETC Announcement: ETC Mainnet will be upgraded to Spiral network

Spiral Network Upgrade The Ethereum Classic (ETC) mainnet will undergo the Spiral network upgrade at block 19,250,000, which is expected to occur on January 31, 2024. The Spiral network upgrade aims to achieve protocol synchronization with ETH’s “Shanghai Upgrade” and introduce multiple Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), such as EIP 3651 (Warm COINBASE) and EIP 3855 (PUSH0 instruction). This upgrade will further enhance the compatibility between ETC and ETH, improve the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) function of ETC, and facilitate the ecological development and construction of ETC. What should we do? In fact, for the public endpoints, we don’t have to do anything. The upgrade will be done automatically. However, for some possible exchanges, mining pools or projects, if you are running your own node, you need to update it to keep up with the latest version!
