Cosmos 2.0: More mature than Ethereum in 2017, favored by various basic service facilities

Cosmos is the most complete ecosystem I have ever seen, and the progress of development, collaboration, expansion, and evolution reminds me of Ethereum in 2017, but with a higher level of maturity.

New token economics, new utilities for liquid staking, schedulers, allocators, and interchain security. The Cosmos Hub will continue to exist, but now it has a real identity and purpose: to attract new chains to join and protect IBC assets that become reserves.

Native $USDC is coming to Cosmos and this is probably the most underrated thing so far .

It has no death spiral and despite being centralized, it has been the primary driver of liquidity in cryptocurrencies.

Infrastructure

Ledger is committed to supporting this ecosystem and will provide support for 25 Cosmos chains by the end of the year and support their dApps directly from Ledger Live. Ledger will also become a validator for these chains.

Speaking of wallets, we will also have multi-signature support similar to Gnosis Safe. There is no risk of smart contracts here, nor of the blockchain itself.

Akash continues to lower the barriers to entry and maintenance costs for cloud hosting, allowing individuals rather than just institutions to join these services .

This will play a huge role for the chain, validators, and the entire ecosystem.

Security

Chains like Osmosis, Juno, Evmos will provide security and receive security from each other .

They are both Hubs and Zones, both security providers and consumers, and they stay close to each other, forming a structurally secure ecosystem: similar to NATO.

Mars Protocol has launched its own chain, and its DeFi protocol will initially be on Osmosis . The Mars chain will coordinate lending with others to deploy on other chains. The chain itself will not hold liquidity, but will provide an intermediary chain for them.

Cross-chain accounts have evolved thanks to IBC. Being able to send tokens from Osmosis to Juno and automatically perform the swap reduces the active cross-chain step, or provide liquidity directly instead of through Osmosis, and the same goes for governance voting.

More than Cosmos

Axelar and Gravity bridges are dedicated to transferring NFTs on non-Cosmos chains, with the potential to be deployed on OpenSea.

IBC will be used in Polkadot and Near.

The Evolution of NFTs

By charging $Stars, you can create or stake your NFTs directly on-chain, and even IP-managed NFTs have their market, thanks to the almighty Flix.

Celestia aims to take this ecosystem to the next level, adding modularity to the monolithic chain: the execution layer, the consensus layer, and the smart contract chain layer of Rollup to enable fast transactions. The ultimate goal is to replace the website with an independent chain.

Even Circle is set to launch its own Cosmos chain , and interest in building blockchains on Cosmos has never been greater.
