Cook admits that he personally holds cryptocurrency, but Apple will not accept cryptocurrency payments in the short term

According to the New York Times on November 9th local time, at the DealBook online summit that day, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that he holds cryptocurrencies as part of a diversified investment portfolio, but Apple will not accept Bitcoin as a payment method for purchasing the company's products in the short term.
Cook emphasized that he has been interested in cryptocurrency for some time and has been researching this field, but he would not provide investment advice to anyone. He also ruled out the possibility of Apple using company funds to purchase cryptocurrency as an investment, "I don't think people buy Apple stock to get exposure to cryptocurrency."
Regarding whether Apple will support Bitcoin as a payment method, Cook emphasized that there are no plans to make cryptocurrency an acceptable payment method in the short term, "this is not something we plan to do immediately."
Entrepreneurs or companies investing in Bitcoin are not isolated cases. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has publicly stated that he personally holds Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin, and Tesla and SpaceX only hold Bitcoin.
In March this year, Tesla's US official website showed that users can choose to pay with Bitcoin when purchasing vehicles. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also said on Twitter that Tesla can now be purchased with Bitcoin. Tesla became the first car company to accept Bitcoin payments.
In May, Musk tweeted that Tesla has stopped using Bitcoin to buy cars because of concerns that Bitcoin mining requires a lot of energy and will burden the environment. He also said that Tesla is studying the use of other cryptocurrencies for payment. In July, Musk publicly mentioned that Tesla is likely to resume using Bitcoin as a payment method for car purchases.
