Survey: 27% of US residents support government recognition of Bitcoin as legal tender

On September 13, according to a survey conducted by YouGov, a polling research and data analysis company, among 4,912 U.S. residents, 11% of respondents "strongly supported" the idea that Bitcoin should be used as legal tender in the United States, while another 16% "somewhat supported" it.

The survey results show that income has a significant impact on individuals’ attitudes toward cryptocurrencies, with respondents earning more than $80,000 per year being twice as likely to support Bitcoin as legal tender (21%) as those earning less than $40,000 (11%). Participants earning less than $40,000 were also the group most strongly opposed to the idea.
