On September 5, at the Shougang Park of the 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services, Beijing Capital Highway Development Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with six banks including the Beijing Branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Beijing Branch of Agricultural Bank of China, Beijing Branch of Bank of China, Beijing Branch of China Construction Bank, Beijing Branch of China Bank of Communications, and Beijing Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China, and reached a consensus on in-depth cooperation in digital RMB in key business areas such as highways.

The relevant person in charge of the First Issue Group introduced that the First Issue Group will build digital RMB application scenarios with large application scale, high transaction frequency and wide user base in the fields of highway traffic services and parking services to improve the efficiency of highway traffic. In the next step, the First Issue Group will work closely with banking institutions to accelerate the implementation of digital RMB in scenarios such as highway toll collection.
