Binance Founder and CEO Zhao Changpeng: Binance US May Be Listed in Three Years

According to foreign media reports, Zhao Changpeng, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of cryptocurrency trading platform Binance, said that its U.S. subsidiary Binance US may be listed within three years.

Zhao also said Binance US will complete a large private fundraising round in the next two months, which will weaken his control over the board.

In early August this year, Brian Brooks, CEO of Binance US, announced his resignation on Twitter after only three months in office. In the tweet, he mentioned that there were "differences in strategic direction" between him and his colleagues.

Binance is one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges with subsidiaries around the world. In recent months, several countries, including the United Kingdom and Japan, have taken action against the company.

Previously, at the end of June this year, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) banned Binance from operating in the UK due to growing concerns about rising cryptocurrency crimes.

But last week, the Financial Conduct Authority of the United Kingdom admitted that it could not effectively regulate Binance due to its capacity constraints. The agency said that Binance had complied with its requirements made to it at the end of June. In addition, Binance's British subsidiary refused to answer some of its key questions, leaving it with little chance of controlling the growing group.
