Kyrgyz authorities raid illegal mining farm, seize 118 Bitcoin mining machines

Recently, the National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan raided a large illegal mining farm hidden in a private residence and confiscated 118 Bitcoin mining machines.

Authorities said that large-scale Bitcoin mining has caused great damage to the country's power grid, resulting in a wave of power shortages. It is reported that in 2019, the Kyrgyz State Electricity Holding Company announced a ban on the registration of Bitcoin mining projects.

Recently, the global crackdown on Bitcoin mining has intensified. In addition to the domestic crackdown on Bitcoin mining, the Malaysian police recently publicly used a steamroller to destroy 1,069 seized Bitcoin mining machines.
