Impact of Altitude on Mining Machines

Characteristics of high altitude: As the altitude increases, the atmospheric pressure decreases, the air becomes thinner, and the density decreases accordingly. These characteristics have the following three main effects on the performance of the mining machine:

Common plateau mining areas

my country's high-altitude areas are mainly in the four major plateaus. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has an average altitude of 4,000 to 5,000 meters; the Inner Mongolia Plateau is 1,000 to 1,400 meters; the Loess Plateau slopes from northwest to southeast, with an altitude of 800-3,000 meters; the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is above 2,000 meters above sea level. Among them, the mines on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are the most affected.

Mining machine operating altitude standard

In order to ensure the service life of the mining machine, the mining machine should be placed in an area with an altitude of less than 2,000 meters .

If your mine is located at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters, please consider the damage to the power supply and fans.   It is recommended to always have some replacement parts on hand, referring to the 2% standard for stocking; if the number of mining machines is large, the number of spare parts is recommended not to exceed 30.
