js-IPFS 0.50.0 has been shipped!

Earlier this week, js-ipfs officially reached version 0.50.0, adding the ability to share nodes between multiple browser tabs and greatly improving pinning performance. It also includes a number of new features, some API changes, and one breaking change you’ll want to check out.

Support for Nix has been added

Obsidian Systems is adding support for IPFS to the package manager Nix, but at its core is a general-purpose build tool so that build products can be persisted to or pulled from IPFS. Read the announcement to learn how they are splitting this work into two distinct phases (milestone 1 has been achieved!).

The new IPFS

Qri recently released version 0.4.5 of the Qri Desktop application to add a small refactor to match the new qri backend.


The IPFS WebUI shipped in v2.11.0 with too many new features and bug fixes to list here, check it out!
