Polkadot Ecosystem POW Coin Kulupu (KLP) Mining Tutorial

Project Introduction:
Kulupu is a self-updating autonomous blockchain system that uses the Proof of Work (POW) consensus mechanism. Kulupu uses the Substrate framework and is the first blockchain project to combine the POW consensus engine with forkless upgrades.

There is no pre-mining of KLP. Currently, one block is produced every minute, and each block rewards 60 KLP (reduced to 30 KLP after one month).

The POW algorithm uses Monero's RandomX ASIC-resistant algorithm, which requires good CPU performance.

validator add --threads number of threads to start multithreading according to the number of cores of your computer

 kulupu --validator --author 0x123123 --threads 4

Windows users please skip to Windows Mining below

1. Open the URL https://github.com/kulupu/kulupu/releases/tag/v2.0.0 and select the corresponding file according to your computer system at the bottom and click Download

2. Unlock the downloaded zip file, there will be a kulupu file

3. Generate mining key, execute the following command

 ./kulupu generate-mining-key

Save the generated key information

4. Start mining with the following command. Use the public key generated in the previous step as the author parameter:

 ./kulupu --validator --author

First, the node data will be synchronized to the latest block, and then mining can begin. The synchronization time may take 1-2 hours, so please wait patiently.

Mining on Windows PC

Windows users have written a bat file to facilitate mining. Click on the Baidu network disk below to download the mining file

After downloading kulupu-windows.zip, unzip the file.

As shown in the following figure:

1. Double-click to run gen-mining-key.bat to generate the mining key mining-key will be automatically saved in the mining-key.txt file. Please save the private key file.

2. Open the mining-key.txt file and copy the public key (the address starting with 0x in the first line)

3. Right-click and edit the validator.bat file. Use the public key copied above to replace the mining address after --author. Note that there is a space after --author.

Note: Public key: 0x12321321 Secret The red part is the public key

4. Double-click validator.bat to start mining, wait for the synchronization node, target is the target block height and best is the current synchronized block height

Currently, it is not possible to view the mining computing power information, and there is no place to view the computing power information of the entire network.

No mining pool supports kulupu mining. MiningCoin.com will continue to follow up on kulupu mining.
