2020 IPFS Ecosystem and Distributed Storage Industry Summit was a complete success, gathering momentum to create an innovative future

Industry leaders from the fields of IPFS, blockchain, etc. met here to discuss the development path of the IPFS ecology and the new track of distributed storage in the new era.

On the shore of Qiantang River and West Lake, it is summer, with mist and rain falling; but it has not diminished the enthusiasm of the 2020 IPFS Ecology and Distributed Storage Industry Summit at all.

First, Zhang Jianxin , Chairman of the Zhejiang Investment and Financing Association and Chairman of Tou Rong Tian Xia, delivered a leadership speech. In his speech, he said: In the era of big data, when local storage is under tremendous pressure, IPFS has great potential to initiate storage transformation.

It was also pointed out that the purpose of this event is to uphold the principles of openness, integration, cooperation and win-win , and to discuss the current status of the distributed storage field, industry dynamics, ecological shortcomings and other aspects, so that we can better face the opportunities facing the future industry, as well as the challenges and competition from countries around the world.

Then, Shao Jianliang from the organizer Canaan Blockchain gave a speech: "The Beauty of Computing Power, Setting Sail in the Cloud". In his speech, he said: Canaan Blockchain started researching Filecoin a long time ago.

If it can be successfully implemented, it will have great significance for the development of information technology and even human society. It will completely change the "storage model" we currently know and establish a manuscript for the entire digital civilization process that cannot be tampered with by anyone.

At the same time, Nancy, co-founder of Interstellar Vision IPFSNEWS, gave a speech entitled "Five Keywords to Lead You into the IPFS Ecosystem". She used five keywords in her speech, namely "HTTP, underlying protocol", "decentralization", "fast", and "safe" . The most confusing ones are IPFS and Filecoin. IPFS is the underlying Internet protocol, and Filecoin is a blockchain project.

Next, we welcomed David , CEO of Diancun Technology, to give a keynote speech: "The Future of Filecoin and Diancun's Ecological Niche". He elaborated on his views on Filecoin's consensus from three aspects: machine consensus, market consensus, and governance consensus . He also used the story of Bitcoin as an example to predict the future of Filecoin.

Next, Wu Pengcheng, East China Manager and Architect of Amazon Cloud Solutions, gave a speech entitled "Quickly Build a Global IPFS and Blockchain Platform", pointing out that the combination of data storage and IPFS requires grasping three points, the core of which is the global layout capability , followed by massive storage capacity, and finally unlimited public network, bandwidth and IP addresses.

Next came the last session of the morning. The moderator of this roundtable was Nancy , co-founder of Interstellar Vision IPFSNEWS. The guests included Zhao Chunhui , founder and CEO of Binhe Yunzhi (Hangzhou) Technology and CEO of Wangcun Technology, Tang Yang , executive dean of Firefly Business School and special researcher of Peking University Firefly Joint Laboratory; Zhang Chao , co-founder of Shensuan Mining Pool; and Yan Zitong , chairman of Lingdong Computer. They brainstormed on hot topics such as " First Test", "Second Test", "4 Million FIL Gift Package", "Supervision and Compliance", and "Rationality and Bubbles" around the theme of "Four People Walking Together: New Infrastructure, New Opportunities".

The afternoon agenda started on time at 14:00 . After the warm-up video, our afternoon summit continued.

Keren from Protocol Labs gave a speech titled "Filecoin's Vision and Ecosystem Development". She pointed out that Filecoin is a distributed network designed to store the most important information of human society, mainly for global networks, network storage data, storage of proof documents, and the storage of files on the network. At the same time, she also expressed the hope to promote human development by making breakthroughs in building protocols and other tools in the fields of computing and the Internet.

Next was the speech by Hengtong Cloud COO Zheng Xiangjin titled "New Era, New Migration of Data Storage". In the speech, he first gave a brief introduction to Hengtong Cloud; secondly, he showed the development history of Hengtong Cloud and the blockchain project; and finally, he pointed out that the key point of IPFS coupled blockchain technology is the storage of effective data.

Then, Hou Feng , the founder of Maike.com Storage, gave a speech: "Distributed Storage Opportunities under the New Infrastructure Trend". He said: The last train of Filecoin's first mining bonus is coming. Due to the mining mechanism of Filecoin, if you want to wait for the main network to go online before taking a share, you will face two major problems: mortgage coins and machine hardware .

Then, Yunhu Computing CMO Lorreta Chen gave us a speech: How to seize new opportunities in the Filecoin mining cycle. In the keynote speech, he said that there are three ways for ordinary people to participate in the current IPFS dividends. The first way is to buy computing power (relatively speaking, the threshold is relatively low); the second is to buy futures (relatively optimistic about Fil in the long term); the third is to buy mining machines (this is done according to everyone's ability).

Next came the first roundtable in the afternoon. The moderator of this roundtable was Nancy , co-founder of Interstellar Vision IPFSNEWS. Looking back at the past ten years of blockchain development, we feel like we have opened the door to a new world, and the key to this door is the wallet. As the entrance to digital assets, the wallet connects the physical world and the blockchain world. In the eleven years of Bitcoin development, wallets have also been evolving.

Eric Yu, CTO & Co-founder of MathWallet, pointed out in his speech: A Brief History of IPFS Wallets and Applications: IPFS wallets and applications can be divided into three stages . Applications in the IPFS era are used to replace HTTP, DNS, cloud hosting services, and centralized applications. Of course, there will also be various Filecoin wallets, Filecoin block browsers, storage order matching markets, and DeFi applications for miners and storage clients.

Next came the second roundtable in the afternoon. The moderator of this roundtable was Xiaotong , CEO of NOVA Global. At 10 am the next day , the second day of the 2020 IPFS Ecosystem and Distributed Storage Industry Summit opened successfully;

Special guest Zhang Xiaodong , general manager of the wireless treasure business of JD Cloud Division, gave a speech entitled "Building IPFS infrastructure based on JD Cloud Wireless Treasure smart terminals and its value sharing concept": He used the development of JD Cloud as a starting point to analyze the concept of JD Cloud. At the same time, he believed that whether digital currency can promote consumption or obtain future policy support depends mainly on whether it can promote the development of commercial value.

Andy He, CMO of Computing Power Interconnect, said in his keynote speech on "The Basic Deduction of Filecoin Mining": Computing Power Interconnect announced that it will work with partners such as Hengtong Cloud to launch a one-stop Filecoin mining service , and strongly enter the Filecoin mining field.

Next, Andy, co-founder of IPFS1475, gave a keynote speech: "The End of Troubled Times, New Ecological Opportunities", in which he said: Filecoin mainnet is about to be launched. After nearly three years of long waiting, the ranking competition between the first and second tests will all be settled after the mainnet is launched. Of course, the next new trend and new opportunity is the construction of IPFS ecosystem .

Then, Gate.io CPO Jiuer gave a speech: "With the mainnet launch imminent, how to avoid the spot risk of FIL?" In her speech, she fully analyzed the risks of FIL and explained it in combination with her own trading platform, revealing to the guests present that FIL is full of risks and challenges .

Next came the first roundtable on the morning of the second day. The moderator of this roundtable was Xu Jia from Canaan Blockchain. The guests included Alina , head of OKEx mining pool, Li Peicai , co-founder of Shanghai Waiyi, Li Yuzhe , head of the Southwest region of Huobi mining pool, Andy , co-founder of 1475, and Kobe from Canaan Blockchain. With the theme of "New Cycle, New Consensus: Talking about the Next Decade", they conducted in-depth discussions on hot topics such as "Filecoin industry heat", "POW consensus mechanism", "POW ecology VS IPFS ecology", "Mining mortgage mechanism", and "Risk management".

Next came the mysterious guests - we were fortunate to invite the authors of the book "IPFS Principles and Practices": Dong Tianyi, Dai Jiale, and Huang Yuming . Due to the epidemic, the three guests could not come to the scene, but they recorded the video very attentively to share and communicate with the fans who love and pay attention to ipfs.

The distributed storage industry has become a hot topic nowadays. Wang Shuai, the architect of Alibaba Cloud's new retail solution, pointed out that it does not involve SaaS, but focuses on IT infrastructure construction. At the same time, he emphasized the three things that Alibaba Cloud has always insisted on, namely 1. IT infrastructure : including operating system, storage, and network; 2. Core technology is exported through cloudification; 3. Providing technical capabilities in IT infrastructure.

Shang Silin, president of Mars Cloud Mining, said that with multiple rounds of testing and the final launch of the main network in August, the years of chaos in the Filecoin mining machine market is about to end, and the next month will be the best window period for Filecoin first mine investment.

Chain'X CMO Kristen said in her speech: ChainX, as the Polkadot digital asset gateway, will be able to achieve two-way decentralized cross-chain between Fil and ChainX by taking advantage of cross-chain. The bridge development is progressing steadily, and ChainX will first achieve one-way decentralized cross-chain, and complete two-way cross-chain after the filecoin network contract is launched.

Origin co-founder Matthew Liu shared his thoughts on the topic of Blockchain and IPFS powered com'merce: Building a new business ecosystem based on blockchain and IPFS. He said: The IPFS/Filecoin ecosystem is full of vitality and imagination, and applications based on IPFS are the source of its vitality .

Next came the first roundtable on the second afternoon. The moderator of this roundtable was Amey , the editor-in-chief of CTC Chinese; the guests were Jiuer , CPO of Gate.io, Johnny Lyu , CEO of KuCoin International, and Li Xiaocheng, CEO of ZT Global. With the theme of "New Cycle, New Consensus: Talking about the Next Decade", they engaged in a heated debate with entry points such as "spot risks", "gold panning and selling water", "value investment", "fund security", and "decentralization".

Filecoin continues to heat up in the IPFS track. Chen Bao, the founder of Crust, the first decentralized cloud incentivized in the Polkadot ecosystem, said in his speech "Crust Network, Connecting Distributed Cloud": Decentralized cloud is more suitable for technology development trends and user needs .

Next came the last roundtable, hosted by CTC Business Director Tracy ; guests: William Wang , Chairman of Yixi Technology & Founder of Xingmai Storage, Zhang Binglu , Partner of Toplon, Cen Zhike CTO of Galaxy Storage Pool, Tong Zhanggui , VP of Golden Finance & CEO of ipfs100.com, with the theme of "Who can lead the way in the new landscape?", and expressed their views on keywords such as "IPFS VS Web3.0", "Network Protocol Revolution", "National Supervision", "IPFS Application", and "Filecoin Mining Market".

Fan Yi , technical director of Mintian Technology Data Center, gave a keynote speech on "The penalty mechanism of Filecoin's economic model forces IDC data centers to be stable." His speech not only made the guests understand that there is still a long way to go between the entire Filecoin mining industry chain and practitioners; it also revealed that Filecoin's mining machines are mainly hosted in large IDC computer rooms .

A number of excellent blockchain projects will surely emerge in the IPFS track this year. We are very pleased to invite Arweave Co-founder Sam to give the final speech. In "True data permanence for IPFS", he revealed how they use technological innovation to solve the problems faced by the industry and how they bring continuous development momentum to this ecosystem.

From the banks of the Huangpu River to the shores of the West Lake, from 2002 to 2020, it is not just the numbers that have been subverted. In the past 18 years, the blockchain industry ecosystem has been continuously improved, keeping pace with the times in the changing times, and pushing IPFS distributed storage in a more stable direction.

Kunpeng starts to strike the waves from now on, and the east wind fills the sails for thousands of miles.
