On April 24, the Daqing Oilfield Public Security Bureau obtained clues while patrolling and controlling the oil wells and power supply lines of the Oil Production Plant No. 5, and discovered that someone had privately connected to the oilfield's electricity near the No. 1 oil production team in the No. 9 area of ​​the No. 1 mine of the Oil Production Plant No. 5 to mine Bitcoin.

Since the area is under the jurisdiction of Honggang Public Security Bureau, the police from Oilfield Branch and Honggang Branch rushed to the scene and found and closed down a Bitcoin den buried deep in the kennel of a dog farm outside the wilderness. After on-site investigation, it was found that the den had been stealing electricity from surrounding oil wells since February this year, and a total of 54 illegal Bitcoin mining machines were confiscated on site. Because Bitcoin mining machines consume a lot of electricity to produce Bitcoin, according to preliminary estimates by the police, the den stole about 50,000 yuan of oilfield electricity.
At present, the relevant cases are still under further processing.
