Shenma Mining Machine is preparing to hold a grand press conference. Old players in the cryptocurrency circle, such as Wang Chun, Shenyu, Wu Gang, and even the leader of Bitcoin developers, Adam back, have all sent videos to support the conference. However, the new leader that Shenma Mining Machine is going to push to the front is a mysterious person who is almost unknown in the cryptocurrency and mining circles.

This mysterious man is named Chen Jianbing, and his position is Chief Executive Officer (COO). According to Lianwen, the partner of the Shenma press conference, Chen Jianbing will also visit the Shenma official community to interact directly with users.

As we all know, the legendary leader and CEO of Shenma Mining Machine, Yang Zuoxing, is being involved in a very complicated criminal case.

At the end of October 2019, Yang Zuoxing, the founder of Shenma Mining Machine, was taken away by the police for investigation because Bitmain reported the case of infringement of trade secrets. In early December of the same year, the Nanshan District Procuratorate of Shenzhen approved the arrest of the suspect Yang Zuoxing for the crime of embezzlement. In January 2020, Yang Zuoxing was released on bail and returned home. However, it was also reported that he was facing criminal charges in Beijing and Shenzhen at the same time.

The Shenma mining machine team was said to have less than 100 people, and Yang Zuoxing was the undisputed leader. When Yang had to step back, the industry was also watching who would step forward.

Initially, Wu Gang, a shareholder of Shenma and founder of Bixin, said that he would help Shenma, but later he refuted the rumor himself, saying that Zhang Xiaoting (head of supply chain and sales), Sully Yu (general manager of the official agent), and Liu Zixi (former COO) would take up the banner; later there were also rumors that Zhang Xiaoting from Bitmain was taking an overall view of the situation.

But it seems that Yang Zuoxing may have handed over this responsibility to his classmate: Chen Jianbing.

Chen Jianbing is extremely low-key, and only very limited information can be retrieved. According to people familiar with the matter, Chen Jianbing and Yang Zuoxing were classmates at Tsinghua University and joined Shenma about a year ago. According to some information, he co-founded Shanghai Youwu Technology Co., Ltd. with Yang Zuoxing in 2018, and then withdrew in 2019.

If we make the worst-case scenario, suspected of embezzlement of 100,000 yuan in office may result in a sentence of not more than five years in prison or criminal detention; Beijing is still reviewing cases of infringement of commercial secrets, with the lightest sentence being imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention, and the most serious being more than three years but not more than seven years.

In the absence of Dr. Yang, whether Chen Jianbing can take up the responsibility or whether Shenma is still a collective leadership system with Yang Zuoxing in charge remotely is still unknown. However, some signs indicate that Chen Jianbing is currently in a relatively high-level position.

On March 22, Chen Jianbing attended the second private board meeting organized by the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Association as the COO of MicroBT. The attendees were all chairmen of major companies, such as Huang Yuanhao, chairman of Orbbec, Wang Maolin, chairman of Jinda Holdings, and Chen Ning, chairman of Yuntian Lifei. Chen Jianbing also took the stage at the press conference.

Shenma's press conference this time is more like a sales conference than a press conference. Because its main M30 series products were released as early as December last year, with an energy consumption ratio of 38J/T. In comparison, the direct competitor Bitmain S19 has an energy consumption ratio of 29J/T. But Shenma may seek a low-price strategy similar to 2019, and the delivery time is relatively earlier.
