ViaBTC launches Nervos CKB testnet mining pool

ViaBTC has launched the Nervos CKB testnet mining pool on October 17, 2019, and participated in the fifth Nervos CKB testnet mining competition (the total prize money of the competition is worth approximately US$450,000). After the Nervos CKB mainnet is launched, ViaBTC will also simultaneously support mainchain mining services.

About Nervos CKB

Nervos Network is an open source public chain ecosystem that includes a set of mutually compatible layered protocols with blockchain technology as the core to solve the scalability dilemma of blockchain. Nervos CKB (Common Knowledge Base) is the underlying public chain based on the PoW consensus mechanism in Nervos Network. While allowing any encrypted asset to obtain security, stability and permissionlessness, it can support smart contracts and second-layer expansion solutions, and through the crypto-economic design of "value storage", the native token CKB captures the value of the entire network.

Competition Introduction

In order to promote the community building of Nervos CKB, the Nervos Foundation has officially decided to sponsor and host the Nervos CKB testnet mining competition. Anyone can participate in this event by participating in the testnet mining and win the mainnet CKB grand prize.

This Nervos CKB mining competition is the fifth mining competition during the Nervos CKB testnet period and also the final one.

This mining competition is divided into three stages, each stage lasts for two weeks, so the total duration of this competition is six weeks: October 5, 2019 to November 16, 2019.

Reward Distribution

The total prize for this mining competition is 45 million CKB. Based on the CoinList public offering price (1 CKB = 0.01 USD), the total prize is approximately 450,000 USD (approximately 3.2 million RMB).

Because this competition will last for six weeks and be divided into three stages, the prize money will also be divided into three levels. As each stage increases, the specific corresponding prize money and time periods are as follows:

Phase 1 rewards: 12,000,000 CKB

(2019.10.5 ~ 2019.10.19)

Phase 2 Rewards: 15,000,000 CKB

(October 19, 2019 ~ November 2, 2019)

Phase 3 rewards: 18,000,000 CKB

(2019.11.02 ~ 2019.11.16)

After the competition, ViaBTC will convert the testnet CKB mined during the event into mainnet CKB and record it in the miner's ViaBTC account. The final ratio will be determined after the competition. Please pay attention to the official announcement of ViaBTC.
