Google shows that Internet users' interest in "Bitcoin" has reached a nearly 17-month high

Data from Google Trends search analysis shows that according to the latest data on June 29, the total search volume for "Bitcoin" (BTC) is now at a 17-month high.
During the current bull run, public interest has risen to levels last seen between February 11 and 17, 2018, when Bitcoin traded between $8,600 and $10,200, following its all-time high in 2017.
The current geographical distribution of Bitcoin Google searches shows that in the seven days to June 29, the highest global Internet interest in Bitcoin was in São José dos Campos, Brazil, followed by the southern city of Caxias do Sul. Benin City in southern Nigeria ranked third.
Also, unsurprisingly, California’s Silicon Valley also has a lot of interest in Bitcoin, with other places including Larkspur, San Francisco, Sunnyvale and San Jose all in the top ten.
If we set the parameters to a 30-day timeframe, the picture is completely different, although some regional trends persist.
Lagos, Nigeria, ranked first, Munich, Germany and the Austrian capital Vienna ranked third. Fourth and fifth were Los Angeles and Yonkers in upstate New York - the latter just an hour's drive from Wall Street.
Comparing the 17-month record with the data cited a week ago, Google's data seems to indicate that public attention is quickly catching up to market momentum, with searches in early June approaching monthly highs.
