According to Coindesk, developers of the cryptocurrency project Grin received an anonymous donation of 50 BTC, worth approximately $300,000. Users can donate funds to five different public addresses at any point in time, including Grin, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Zcash, and Bitcoin SegWit addresses. The most recent donation of 50 BTC was placed in a Grin Bitcoin SegWit address and was confirmed on the Bitcoin blockchain on Sunday. According to a recently released financial report, the project’s funding has nearly tripled in the past four months, from an estimated $65,237.35 to $123,423.73. Now, with the newly received 50 BTC donation, the project has about six times the funding it had at the start of 2019. Looking ahead, the project team anticipates that the funds will be used for project needs, including building and deploying key infrastructure, website design and marketing development, mining hardware design, and more. |
