TSMC will invest 100 billion to build a new plant. The industry believes that this move is to fully sprint to the 7nm process

According to Taiwan's Economic Daily, TSMC held a board meeting yesterday and approved a budget of NT$103.48 billion (about RMB 23.3 billion) to build factories, establish, expand and upgrade advanced process capacity, etc. The industry believes that TSMC's related capital expenditures will mainly be used to fully sprint to the 7-nanometer process and widen the gap with competitors such as Samsung and Intel.
