Yingjiang stopped its big data project and the regular mining farm was shut down for rectification

According to Cong Kuaibao, on October 31, the Industry and Commerce Bureau of Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province issued a notice to stop the operation of big data projects, which mentioned that all big data projects built in all hydropower stations in the county will be stopped before November 1, and joint power law enforcement will be carried out with the Power Supply Bureau starting on November 5.

Regarding the impact of this notice on local mines, a reporter from Cong Daily interviewed a mine owner in Yingjiang. The mine owner said that his mine has been shut down due to the document and needs to wait for rectification and subsequent notice. It is understood that the mine has been registered and obtained formal procedures this year. It was because the local commercial bureau invited investment that he chose to come to Yingjiang to invest.

According to the notice issued by Yingjiang Industry and Commerce, after the big data project is put into operation, it promises to give priority to social electricity, silicon smelting electricity and other large industrial electricity; when social electricity, silicon smelting electricity and other electricity cannot be met, the big data project electricity will be shut down first. It is reported that silicon smelting is one of the pillar industries of Yingjiang County.

According to the furnace preparation of silicon smelting enterprises in Yingjiang County in 2018, and according to the production forecast reported by the enterprises, the annual output in 2018 was about 110,000 tons, an increase of 10,000 tons over 2017. In the 2017 work plan of Yingjiang County Industry and Commerce Bureau, it was mentioned that the electrometallurgical industry accounted for more than 40% of the county's fiscal revenue, and silicon smelting enterprises have greatly increased the county's industrial electricity consumption. The miner said that the silicon smelting industry requires a lot of electricity during the dry season, and the hydropower station itself generates very little power during the dry season, which is the key factor in shutting down the big data electricity project.
