Samsung launches new 7NM chip, which may benefit crypto miners

According to Cointelegraph, Samsung has launched the 7nm Low Power Plus (7LPP) process, which can reduce energy consumption by 50%. Although Samsung did not disclose the names of the first customers to use the new 7LPP manufacturing technology, the company hinted that the first customers to use the new chips will target mobile and high-performance computing (HPC) applications.

This could reportedly have a positive impact on crypto miners using Samsung hardware, as energy costs have proven to be a key factor in profitability in the industry.
