Bitcoin mining costs $4.3 billion a year, one twentieth of gold mining costs

According to Vladimir Jelisavcic, an investor at digital asset analysis agency PandaAnalytics, the annual cost of Bitcoin mining is $4.3 billion, while the annual cost of gold mining is $87.3 billion, more than 20 times that of Bitcoin. It is reported that when Jelisavcic estimated the cost of gold mining, he used the data of Barrick Gold, the world's largest gold mining company, and when estimating the cost of Bitcoin mining, he estimated the electricity costs of terminal miners and the power consumption of mining machines.
