Washington Utilities to Increase Energy Rates for Crypto Miners by 50%

According to Bitcoin.com, commissioners of a utility district in central Washington, the United States, unanimously agreed to increase fees for crypto mining. The utility company serves more than 46,000 customers throughout the county. It has been reported that starting next year, mining costs will increase by 15%, 35% the year after, and 50% the year after that. |
