Tencent and Softbank both deny investing in Bitmain

According to Tencent Technology News, Tencent and SoftBank recently denied rumors of investing in Bitmain.

Tencent said that the company did not participate in the investment in Bitmain.

SoftBank stated that neither SoftBank Group nor the Vision Fund managed by SoftBank participated in the investment in Bitmain.

In early August, there were market rumors that Bitmain had officially completed the Pre-IPO round of signings, and that investors in this round included Tencent, SoftBank, etc. Last week, Bloomberg reported that Bitmain planned to go public in Hong Kong as early as September, raising $3 billion.
