Nvidia's mining-related revenue dropped by about 94% in the second quarter

US chip giant Nvidia released its financial report on the 16th, showing that in the second quarter of this year, its overall operating income and profits were higher than Wall Street expectations, but sales of chips related to digital currency mining fell sharply by about 94% from the first quarter.

Nvidia Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress said that the company originally expected mining-related chip sales to be about $100 million in the second quarter, but in fact it was only $18 million. Now the company expects mining to not bring any revenue in the future. Total revenue in the third quarter is expected to be $3.19-3.32 billion, lower than the FactSet analyst expectation of $3.34 billion.
