According to Bitcoin.com, the city of Salamanca, New York, is considering suspending cryptocurrency mining operations in the city. A member of the city council explained that the move is to prevent cryptocurrency miners from "damaging the rights of all residents and causing electricity prices to rise for all residents." The relevant public hearing will be held on September 12. |
