Cryptocurrency miners move to remote areas of Japan as electricity prices drop

According to CCN, Japan's lesser-known remote areas have recently become popular mining destinations for cryptocurrency miners, and Fukui Prefecture is one of them. The region not only has low electricity costs, but also provides half of the rent for companies that move in.

It is reported that Japan's Alt Design is currently conducting mining business in Fukui Prefecture. The company currently has a total of 500 mining machines, with a monthly mining power consumption of about 2,000 kilowatts, which can produce 200 Ethereum. Company personnel said that cheap electricity and warehouse storage fees are the main reasons for choosing Fukui Prefecture.
