The world's first outbreak of Android mining worms turns smart TVs into "mining machines"

360 Network Security Research Institute has detected the world's first Android platform mining worm ADB.Miner. This malicious program affects many smart TVs, TV boxes, set-top boxes, etc. with the "ADB debugging" switch turned on. This group of malicious programs is not a traditional Android virus, but a new type of malicious program that specializes in "mining" in the background of Android devices. Within 24 hours, 5,000 devices were infected. As of now, more than 7,000 devices have been infected. China and South Korea are the hardest hit areas of this worm virus.
