Earlier on March 8, according to China Securities Network, regarding recent rumors that central bank officials in Shanghai and Beijing may lift the ban on virtual currency transactions, the reporter verified with a staff member of the special rectification team for Internet financial risks that the relevant reports were inconsistent with the facts.

Within two minutes from 22:58 to 22:59 on March 7, Binance, the world's second largest virtual currency trading platform and the exchange controlled by Zhao Changpeng, who ranks third on the Forbes Digital Currency Rich List, was hacked. A large number of users' accounts were stolen, and various tokens and digital currencies were traded for Bitcoin.

Subsequently, Binance took measures such as rollback and suspension of withdrawals to stop losses in time. Later, it released an announcement on its official website saying, "Binance has resumed withdrawals after a strict security review. At present: all funds are safe and no funds have fled."

The huge stone investment in the Binance pool has caused quite a stir, but many netizens do not buy it. They believe that this may be a "hype" by Binance, putting the blame on the so-called hackers.
