Following Bitcoin futures, the world's first Bitcoin public offering fund is here

Not long ago, CME announced plans to launch Bitcoin futures. Now, less than two months later, a company is planning to establish a Bitcoin fund.

French asset manager Tobam ​​announced that it will launch a bitcoin-linked mutual fund, creating a sense of urgency for its U.S. competitors. Yves Choueifaty, president of the bank, said in a statement:

The launch of the world’s first Bitcoin public fund reflects our desire to remain a world leader and provide innovative financial products to our customers.

Yves Choueifaty also said that investors have expressed interest in buying and that the fund's size is expected to swell to $400 million in the next few years.

However, just as CME's Bitcoin futures are awaiting all relevant regulatory reviews, Tobam's Bitcoin fund plan must also be approved by the country's financial regulators.

As early as the beginning of this year, some American companies planned to launch a Bitcoin ETF, but the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ultimately killed the idea in the cradle in March.

Since the beginning of this year, the price of Bitcoin has risen by more than 700% and is still near its historical high. According to Bistamp data, the price of Bitcoin is trading around $8,209. The previous day, Bitcoin rose to a record high of $8,354.

Even Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, who has strongly criticized Bitcoin, was reported a month or two later that the old bank he runs was considering trading CME's Bitcoin futures products.

Currently, JPMorgan Chase already allows customers to trade Bitcoin through exchange-traded notes, sending buy and sell orders to the exchange.
