[Jiang Zhuoer Popular Science] The difference between BCH and BTC is not just the block size

[Jiang Zhuoer Popular Science] The difference between BCH and BTC is not just the block size

1. The difference between the Qing Dynasty and Britain is not just their powerful ships and guns.

Even if the Qing Dynasty bought the Beiyang Fleet, and on the surface had the powerful ships and guns of a modern navy, the Qing Dynasty was still the Qing Dynasty. The difference between the Qing Dynasty and Britain was that on the surface they had warships, on the deeper level they had technology, and at their core they had openness.

The difference between BCH and BTC is the same. Core kicked out Gavin, the designated successor of Satoshi Nakamoto (who advocated capacity expansion according to Satoshi Nakamoto's plan), kicked out two of the five core members (Gavin and Jeff), kicked out many developers (established XT, Classic, BU, bcoin, ABC and other versions), kicked out the little prodigy (established ETH, which ranks second in market value), and kicked out the big block faction (established BCH, which ranks third in market value).

The difference between BCH and BTC is, on the surface, large blocks vs. small blocks, but in essence it is an open and enterprising mentality vs. a stubborn and arrogant mentality.

2. When BTC and BCH face the same imperfect bugs:

【BTC】Block limitation problem :

1) Gavin and others started arguing about capacity expansion within Core in 2013;

2) Core firmly disagrees with expanding the block.
Even if it is only expanded to 2M (still a small block);
Even if SW is upgraded first and then 2M is upgraded one year later (Hong Kong consensus);
Even if the majority of the community’s computing power and companies agree (New York Consensus);
It is necessary to lock up the main chain at 1M and develop the side chain of its own company Blockstream (Blockstream is a company that makes profits from side chains).

3) Four years of bickering, fighting and mutual hostility eventually split the community in two.

【BCH】Hashrate oscillation issue :

1) The operation in August exposed the problem of computing power fluctuation;
2) A consensus was reached on modifying the difficulty adjustment algorithm in early September;
3) The first solution code was completed on September 29;
4) A consensus on the difficulty upgrade algorithm before the 2x fork was reached in early October;
5) In mid-October, three main alternatives were completed and tested and compared;
6) On October 31, the 0.16.0 hard fork version of the upgraded algorithm was released;
7) Successfully upgraded after reaching 504031 altitude in the early morning of November 14.

This is a slap in the face level comparison.
The upgrade of "DDA difficulty adjustment" has obvious effect

3. Therefore, there is no need to ask what to do if the Core is expanded

Once Core starts to expand, it will be a devastating blow to Core's legitimacy. Since expansion is right, why did they oppose it in the first place? They even opposed the community consensus of upgrading SW first and then upgrading to 2M a year later? Core has delayed the development of Bitcoin for four years, causing Bitcoin's market share to drop sharply from 90% to 50%, and even causing the community to split in two. What qualifications does Core have to continue to develop Bitcoin?

Core has kicked all the big blockers to BCH, and it is almost impossible for the remaining stubborn and arrogant people to reach a "highly consistent consensus" on capacity expansion. The result of capacity expansion is nothing more than continued quarrels and divisions - not splitting into two coins, but continuing to split users to join the BCH community .

Once the Core begins to expand, it will accelerate the collapse of the Core, just like the establishment of the Beiyang Six Towns New Army by the Qing Dynasty. The Qing Dynasty copied the European military system and spent a lot of money to establish the Beiyang Six Towns New Army, but it ended the Qing Dynasty in the Wuchang Uprising.

Even if Core is lucky enough to expand, it is just a prolongation of life, just like the Qing Dynasty buying the Beiyang Navy to prolong its life. Core is already a cancer of BTC's power centralization :

1) Core used its development power to forcibly launch UASF (euphemistically called: User Activated Soft Fork), regardless of the lack of sufficient computing power to vote in support, and forcibly activated SW, which directly led to the split of the BCH community.

2) Core assigned BIP proposal numbers to UASF, which is highly controversial and dangerous (it admitted in its own bitcoin.org announcement that UASF may lead to the loss of coins). However, it refused to assign a BIP proposal number to SW2X, which has a broad community consensus.

I don't agree with your point of view, and I swear to stop you from speaking. The power is very good and powerful. From this moment on, BTC has become a centralized currency. BTC is no longer the free currency passed down by Satoshi Nakamoto. The difference between BCH and BTC is not just the block size.

The difference between the Qing Dynasty and Britain is not just the powerful ships and guns
