Appearance and workmanship

Open the back panel of the mining machine and you can see that the G1 is equipped with 8 graphics cards.

Installation and commissioning
1. Wiring The power supply used in this test is Bitmain's new power supply - APW5 power supply, and the test environment is an office with a room temperature of 25 degrees.

The wiring method of G1 is not complicated. First, connect the power supply to the mining machine, then connect the network cable to the network cable interface, connect the mouse and keyboard to the two USB ports respectively, and connect the HDMI interface to the monitor with an HDMI cable.

2. System Settings After connecting the wires, you can connect the power supply and turn on the power. Press and hold the power button of the mining machine and the display will start to light up. G1 is pre-installed with the Linux system. After entering the system, enter the login password "a".
At this point, the system has started mining with the default miner. Click "Stop Mining", select the currency you want to mine, enter your wallet address, mining pool and miner name (you can only fill in the sub-account, no suffix), and then click Start Mining. In the operation log, you can see the computing power of a single graphics card and the total computing power of the mining machine.

Right-click on a blank area on the desktop to open a terminal, type "nvidia-smi", and information about 8 graphics cards will appear.

Noise test
The noise of G1 is relatively small. At 10cm from the air outlet of the mining machine, the noise of the mining machine was measured to be 80 decibels. At a distance of one meter, the noise dropped to 68 decibels. There was almost no noise when the door was closed.

The official rated computing power of G1 is 200M. During the 12 hours of actual testing, the computing power of G1 remained at around 190M, which is slightly lower than the nominal computing power. In the actual test, the power consumption was 889W, and the power consumption per M of computing power was 4.67W/M.
As of the deadline (November 9, 2017), the ETH price is RMB 2,075. According to the AntPool PPS revenue model, G1's daily revenue is 0.03 ETH, equivalent to RMB 62.25. At a price of RMB 0.3 per kilowatt-hour, G1's daily electricity bill is RMB 6.4, and the daily profit is RMB 55.85.
