Golden Finance News - PC gaming GPU giants Nvidia and AMD are facing overwhelming demand from Ethereum and Bitcoin mining companies, and are in urgent need of producing cheaper and more sophisticated cryptocurrency-specific graphics cards. As the price of Bitcoin continues to rise in the eyes of mainstream investors, there is a clear shortage of graphics cards in the gaming market. According to the survey, AMD's graphics card GPU, currently the main product sold by US retailers, has increased demand due to the "emerging complex mineral mining market". "NVIDIA" graphics cards are more expensive than AMD GPUs, and demand has increased. The graphics market demand for both hardware manufacturers has also grown dramatically, with the gaming market still a top priority, as Bitcoin and Litecoin mining have grown since late 2013. This time around, AMD and Nvidia are working hard to address the frustration of gamers and the new demands of miners. Nvidia and AMD are preparing to release GPU graphics cards that will reduce the cost of their gaming GPUs by launching low-priced GPUs designed specifically for bitcoin mining, according to a report. Details are scarce, but manufacturers are removing HDMI and/or DisplayPort as image outputs from mining-specific hardware. Since Bitcoin mining GPUs may require intensive 24/7 operation, their warranties will also be reduced by 90 days. Some industry reports also published NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX1060-100 model, with the Nvidia website having no details about the new hardware at the time of publication. AMD has reportedly redesigned its entry-level 400-series hardware for cryptocurrency mining companies. GPUs from both manufacturers are expected to be available in June at the end of this month. As CCN reported yesterday, the high-end 500-series based GPUs, the Radeon RX 580 and RX 570, are already sold out. Industry insiders analyzed that another factor in the development of new GPU graphics cards is the cost issue taken into consideration with the rise of Bitcoin mining. The after-market cost of suppliers during Bitcoin mining in 2013 was very high. Other hardware manufacturers are seeking business opportunities by taking advantage of the huge demand for Bitcoin mining, and some motherboard manufacturers have reportedly launched products specifically for Bitcoin mining. |
