Bitcoin wallet company Airbitz and Bity launch new cooperation to enable users to quickly transfer money between Europe and the United States

AirBitz Inc, a San Diego-based bitcoin wallet and data security company, has partnered with Bity, a Swiss bitcoin exchange that allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies in euros and Swiss francs.

Through this partnership, Airbitz users with European bank accounts will be able to easily, cheaply and securely buy and sell Bitcoin through their Airbitz Wallet. Airbitz already offers its Bitcoin Wallet users the ability to buy/sell Bitcoin with US bank accounts.

According to the company’s official release, Bity will be a plug-in application within the Airbitz Bitcoin wallet, allowing Airbitz users to buy and sell Bitcoin in Euros and Swiss Francs. The new feature integration is included in the latest version v 2.4.1 of the Bitcoin wallet application, available on iOS and Android.

“This is just one of the many capabilities our Bitcoin wallet has. Airbitz is focused on making Bitcoin more useful.”

Airbitz said at the time of the official launch that as market demand and resources continue to increase, the company will expand the buy/sell widget for more currencies and regions.

In a blog post, Airbitz said,

“We are delighted to be working with Bity, it has been a great exchange and look forward to the collaboration helping Bitcoin wallet users across Europe interact with Bitcoin and other digital assets.”

In addition to allowing users to buy Bitcoin with Euros and Swiss Francs, its previous partnership with the Glidera exchange will enable Bitcoin wallet users to quickly send money between European and US bank accounts held by their friends or family. This means that Airbitz users can now buy Bitcoin for Euros or Swiss Francs through Bity, then send those Bitcoins to a family member or US friend, who can then quickly sell the Bitcoin for US dollars through Glidera.

“Bitcoin wallet company Airbitz’s partnership with Bity enables remittance transfers from Europe to the United States and vice versa. Remittances can be made quickly, securely and privately within the Airbitz wallet, without Airbitz having access to users’ funds or information,” Airbitz added.
