North Alabama deploys first Bitcoin ATM, citizens may need a Bitcoin wallet

Golden Finance News - Recently, Huntersville County in North Alabama, USA, deployed the state's first Bitcoin ATM. Given the growing popularity of Bitcoin in the world, perhaps local residents should start preparing their Bitcoin wallets.

The Bitcoin ATM is located in a veterinary clinic in Huntersville, and is the first store in the area to accept Bitcoin payments. Customers who like to go to the animal clinic for pet care can now pay the clinic for services using their own Bitcoin wallets; they can also use the Bitcoin ATM here to deposit Bitcoin into their own Bitcoin wallets.

As of April 24, the average price of Bitcoin shown on exchanges has exceeded $1,200, and the rising value of this digital currency has further boosted the popularity of Bitcoin.

Currently, not only online stores, but also many physical stores use Bitcoin payment, an increasingly popular payment method. However, whether using Bitcoin payment online or in a physical store, users must first have a Bitcoin wallet.

Currently in Japan, Bitcoin payment has become a legal payment method, and it is said that more than 260,000 stores will support Bitcoin payment. Bitcoin payment has promoted the local sales economy and also promoted the development of Bitcoin wallet services.

Drawing on the experience of Japan, the Bitcoin ATM deployed in Huntersville has also brought a new payment method to the local area. Local residents only need to prepare their own Bitcoin wallets to participate in this popular payment activity.

Old Town Beer Exchange is a Bitcoin exchange in Huntersville where users can open their own Bitcoin accounts and receive their own online Bitcoin wallets.

Users can buy the appropriate amount of Bitcoin from the Bitcoin ATM at the Old Town Beer Exchange or the veterinary store, then put it into a Bitcoin wallet and use it for payment or even arbitrage transactions elsewhere.

Ricky Esneault, owner of Huntersville Veterinary Clinic and CEO of Veterinary Internet, an online pet product retailer, has partnered with Atlanta-based bitcoin wallet service BitPay to bring a bitcoin ATM to Huntersville.

"This is the first Bitcoin ATM in the state and it will allow customers to exchange Bitcoin for cash and vice versa," Esneault said. "Customers will need to create a Bitcoin wallet and purchase Bitcoin with cash or payment cards."
