The idea is that Bitcoin's block hash is difficult to generate, requiring a powerful global computer network to calculate it. The average interval between the generation of each block hash is 10 minutes, which is almost impossible to achieve by guessing.

However, some people still have doubts about this.

The adoption of the Bitcoin blockchain is not surprising for Assange. He has long been a supporter of digital currencies, and WikiLeaks was the first prominent organization to pay for the technology, beginning with Bitcoin donations in 2012 to cope with a blockade of funding resources.
