Polish blockchain company Billon Group receives $2 million in funding

Polish blockchain company Billon Group announced the successful completion of its first round of financing, receiving $2 million from British investors, increasing the company's total assets to $5 million.

The news report stated:

“Billon aims to provide a secure, regulated environment for electronic money transfers while complying with AML and KYC regulations. The network can send money to accounts and mobile phones ‘in a simple, instant, scalable, low-cost format.’ The company sees this round of funding as a ‘vote of absolute confidence’ in blockchain solutions. Billon began operating in Poland last year.”

According to local media reports, Billon has been approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK financial regulator, to test its ideas in the FCA regulatory sandbox. The FCA sandbox list has a total of 19 financial institutions, including HSBC and Lloyds.
