China CITIC Bank holds financial industry blockchain seminar

Rage Comment : China CITIC Bank (China) held a seminar on blockchain in the banking industry in Beijing, with representatives from domestic banking institutions, insurance companies, airlines, colleges and universities, and the Bank of Ghana. The purpose of the meeting was to explore the potential of blockchain, explain its application advantages, accelerate the application of blockchain in various fields, and deepen cooperation in science, finance and aviation.

Last month, banks, economists and businesses gathered in Beijing for a seminar hosted by China CITIC Bank (China) to explore the impact of blockchain technology on financial services.

CITIC said more than 50 people attended the meeting, including representatives from domestic institutions such as Minsheng Bank, Everbright Bank, Huaxia Bank, Sunshine Insurance Group, Air China, China Eastern Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines, and representatives from foreign institutions such as Prudential Bank, a bank licensed by the Central Bank of Ghana. In addition, researchers from the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics also attended the meeting.

Sun Deshun, president of China CITIC Bank, briefly introduced the potential of blockchain to transform financial infrastructure and explained that pioneers in technology application will gain competitive advantages. The organizers of the conference said that the conference hopes to convene industry leaders to accelerate the application of blockchain in various fields and deepen cooperation in science, finance and aviation.
