WISeKey launches blockchain identity authentication app

Rage Review : WISeKey International Holdings Limited has launched WISeID 6, the latest version of a personal data and identity protection application that combines blockchain technology, using WISeKey's military-grade 'trusted architecture' and public/private key encryption (multiple secret keys, facial recognition, fingerprint unlocking, and two-factor authentication) to store, protect, and verify the user's identity information. The application ensures that the user is the only one who can decide what information to share with social media, credit cards, and commercial websites, and will never disclose personally identifiable information (PII) without instructions or during a necessary period.

WISeKey International Holdings Ltd. has launched WISeID 6, the latest version of its personal data and identity protection application that incorporates blockchain technology.

WISeID 6's two-factor authentication technology is built on blockchain technology and can store, protect and verify user identity information using WISeKey's military-grade 'trust architecture' and public/private key encryption (multiple keys, facial recognition, fingerprint unlocking and two-factor authentication).

As new block records are added, the size of the blockchain will continue to grow. Each WISeID node will get a copy of the blockchain, which can be automatically downloaded after joining the WISeID network.

The WISeID Blockchain application protects digital identity information stored on a user’s phone, IoT sensor, or computer.

The app ensures that users are the only ones who decide what information is shared with social media, credit cards and merchant sites, and that personally identifiable information (PII) is never disclosed without instruction or for an inappropriate period of time.

WISeID uses blockchain as a public fixed ledger that allows third parties to verify original identity information or unchangeable and distorted certificate information provided by a third-party trusted authority.

WISeID also provides a software development kit (SDK) to third parties using authentication methods that meet identity verification requirements.

WISeID BlockChain uses the cyber-resilient version of WISeID Kaspersky Lab Security, which uses digital identification to protect personal data, including account usernames and passwords and credit card numbers.

WISeID Kaspersky Mobile Security SDK includes a highly secure solution that protects mobile phones from security threats. The SDK's security features include network protection, device protection, and detection of risks in smartphones, providing users with another layer of security. WISeID uses an encrypted vault to store passwords, generates passwords that are difficult to attack, and uses cloud storage technology to securely synchronize computer and device data on multiple platforms.

The password vault can only be opened with the user's master password or a pre-set pattern, and the password vault is also protected by facial recognition.
