Opera browser may integrate Bitcoin micropayments to make ads invisible!

Opera, a web browser developed by Opera Software, may consider integrating Bitcoin micropayments into the next version of the browser with built-in Adblock (ad blocking) function.

The Opera browser with built-in Adblock function has received positive response from the online community, especially its speed of loading web pages is 90% faster than other browsers. Because the adblock software is built into the Opera system, when a web page is requested to be accessed, the browser will catch these ads in the engine, which enables browser users to access the Internet more efficiently.

What about Brave browser?

Brave, another browser with a similar concept, was founded by Brendan Eich, the creator of JavaScript and co-founder of Mozilla. It is reported that the Brave browser is able to eliminate any ads on the web page and replace them with ads sold by the Brave software team. To compensate publishers, the team will pay publishers 55% of the advertising revenue in Bitcoin.

It was the Bitcoin browser released by the Brave team that made the Bitcoin community re-examine the possibility of Bitcoin micropayments. In this regard, the Bitcoin community also praised the efforts of the Brave software team.

Opera browser integration with Bitcoin is highly likely

Considering some of the positive things about the new Brave project, I personally asked the Opera team if they would consider integrating Bitcoin into their browser.

On Twitter, I @Opera and asked, “The Opera team created a browser with built-in adblock functionality. Has the team considered integrating Bitcoin micropayments to incentivize content creators?”

In response, the Opera team said:

"Which browser would you like to see this feature in? Mobile or desktop?"

Although the Opera team has not announced that its browser will officially integrate Bitcoin, the team may consider integrating Bitcoin in the future as part of its plan to eliminate web ads.
