200 million Yahoo accounts sold on the dark web for 3 bitcoins

On Monday, Peace sold 200 million Yahoo accounts for 3 bitcoins (about $1,860). According to the hacker, most of these accounts came from 2012. Yahoo has noticed the information about the account sale, but has not confirmed or denied that the Yahoo accounts have been stolen. According to Motherboard, they tested about 5,000 records provided by Peace, some of which are active Yahoo accounts, and some have been stopped or closed. Most of the leaked Yahoo account data includes usernames, Hashed passwords, dates of birth, and backup email addresses. It is currently impossible to assess how many users have been affected.
