Hyperledger blockchain project welcomes seven new members

In the announcement, newly appointed CEO Brian Behlendorf, who is heading up the project, highlighted the potential of blockchain solutions for enterprises, saying:

Technologies – Chinese technology companies

BitSE – Blockchain startup in Shanghai, China

INVeSHARE – Consulting Company

MonetaGo – Former Bitcoin exchange, now a blockchain company

Moscow Exchange – Russia’s largest exchange group

Norbloc – Swedish blockchain company

Onchain – Blockchain wallet API provider

Joining the growing number of Bitcoin and blockchain-related companies are Bitcoin exchange itBit, Bloq, a blockchain solutions company led by Bitcoin Core developer Jeff Garzik, and Thomson Reuters, a well-known global news service, which is adding many members every month.

The Hyperledger project is at the forefront of the blockchain projects of its kind, with major industry players collaborating to develop open source blockchain solutions under the leadership of the Linux Foundation. Early reports indicate that technology giant IBM is also among the industry supporters, as well as well-known banks JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo.

As early as February this year, Hyperledger publicly announced code proposals and new members. IBM has joined the efforts of various industry members to fully support the development of blockchain applications for real-world applications.

On May 26, Brian Behlendorf, a major developer of the Apache web server and former member of the Mozilla Foundation, was appointed CEO of the Hyperledger project.
