Bloq launches its first product, BloqEnterprise blockchain OS, with Gavin Anderson as team advisor

Bloq recently launched their first product: a multi-pronged blockchain software solution that allows enterprise users to create, update and analyze their own public, private and permissioned blockchains. The product is called BloqEnterprise, a blockchain operating system built for private and public blockchain services.

According to the Bloq press release, BloqEnterprise consists of the following components:

•BloqRouter : The world’s fastest and most secure Bitcoin full node, with a Bitcoin Core hard fork and the option to switch to Bitcoin Classic ;

•BloqDev : A battle-tested Bitcoin-style enterprise blockchain application development environment;

•BloqView : A network-scale “weather forecast” dashboard with public and private blockchain network data analytics and anomaly detection capabilities that answer important questions from valued customers;

•BloqSLA : A 24/7 enterprise-grade service level agreement;

•BloqThink : a high-level strategic professional services component;

BloqEnterprise uses a trustless build architecture that Bloq co-founder Jeff Garzik described in a press release as "the most hardened build infrastructure in financial technology." It uses Gitian technology to show customers that there are no backdoor vulnerabilities or hacks. Hot fixes can be delivered in a few hours, and major upgrades are released two to three times a year.

In a separate press event held by Bloq, the Chicago-based company announced some notable new members to its team and also announced the establishment of an advisory group.

Andreas Schildbach has joined Bloq as a developer. He is a regular member of the Bitcoin community and developed the first Android Bitcoin wallet.

In addition, Paul Sztorc, a former Yale University statistician and Truthcoin chief scientist, has also joined Bloq as the company’s economist.

Bloq Advisory Board

Bloq's newly formed advisory board consists of:

Gavin Andresen — Bitcoin core developer, creator of MIT digital currency project;

William Mougayar, General Partner at Virtual Ventures and Columnist for The Business Blockchain ;

James Newsome, founding partner of Delta Strategy Group, served as Chairman of the CFTC from 2000 to 2004 and CEO of the New York Mercantile Exchange from 2004 to 2008;

Nick Szabo — cryptographer, digital currency researcher and smart contract pioneer;

Bloq co-founder Matthew Roszak said in a press release:

“Each of our team members and advisors brings incredible knowledge and experience that directly impacts Bloq’s growth. The addition of these new members signifies our commitment to building the future of blockchain with the brightest minds and the best talent.”
