Return or NOT, at least the Bitcoin Core Team has no intention of letting Gavin Anderson return

Although the Craig Wright incident has gradually cooled down, the issue of Gavin Andresen is still pressing. Since the Bitcoin Core team removed Gavin's commit access, there has been no sign so far that the Bitcoin Core team intends to re-accept the Bitcoin developer.

Bitcoin Core Really Needs Gavin Andresen

When Gavin came forward to confirm that Craig Wright was Satoshi Nakamoto, many people were shocked. Although Wright claimed to have given the evidence to Gavin, it seemed that there was a misunderstanding between the two parties.

It was this misunderstanding that led to Gavin's Bitcoin Core GitHub commit access being removed. This meant that while he would still be able to submit pull requests like everyone else, he would no longer be able to actively work on the Bitcoin Core client.

Most Bitcoin community members believe that this behavior by the Bitcoin Core Team, especially Wladimir van der Laan, is unreasonable. Considering that Satoshi Nakamoto appointed Gavin to take over the Bitcoin development "regime", the treatment Gavin has received is even more unacceptable.

Worse still, it looks like Bitcoin Core has no plans to reaccept Andresen. Wladimir recently tweeted:

He will not be readmitted, nor should he be.

There has been a strange development lately, at least rumors are speculating on the motivations behind the scenes of Bitcoin Core developers.

What is certain is that Gavin Anderson certainly cannot stop working, as many people still regard him as one of the most underestimated forces. Bitcoin and its core client are heading towards an exciting time, and it is unknown what will happen in the next few months.
