IBM blockchain service Docker will be deeply integrated with cloud services

Bitcoin may be the most famous application of blockchain, but the distributed, trusted database structure is now being applied to a range of services, including financial applications and other areas that require secure control over access.

Today, IBM announced a series of blockchain services running on IBM Cloud and Docker, as well as security and compliance standards for running these services. This is IBM's second move in the blockchain-related field in two months. Previously, IBM invested $60 million in blockchain technology company Digital Asset Holdings.

The importance of IBM's move lies in that it lays the foundation for more large institutions to apply blockchain technology. Currently, many large companies are working with IBM to explore this aspect, including a Finnish shipping company, the London Stock Exchange, the Japan Stock Exchange, and the Dutch Bank.

IBM has recently been trying to launch more innovative cloud-based services to make up for the decline in traditional service revenue, and the launch of blockchain services is in line with this strategy. At the same time, this move also allows IBM to take a step ahead of other competitors in related fields. Microsoft is also actively promoting the construction of infrastructure for blockchain applications.

The blockchain service launched this time will be deeply integrated with IBM's cloud service, and IBM will launch supporting support and consulting services. The target users of this service include financial institutions, healthcare companies, governments, etc.
