Genesis Miner sets up giant billboard to fight Trump's wall

Donald Trump promised during his campaign that if he was elected president of the United States, he would build a wall on the US-Mexico border and have Mexico pay for it. He planned to freeze $24 billion in remittances from the United States to Mexico if Mexico refused to pay.

The plan was simplistic, lacked legitimacy and feasibility, and had an obvious loophole.

If Trump is elected president and passes a law to freeze remittances from the United States to Mexico, Western Union, Xoom and other remittance companies will have to follow suit and stop remittance services to Mexico. Such a blockade of funds will have a huge impact on the families of millions of people who are used to saving money first and then transferring it to Mexico.

One of the aims of the plan is to put pressure on Mexico, and there is currently an option that is not affected by the legal system and state-imposed regulations: Bitcoin.

In an effort to raise awareness of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency miner Genesis Mining has put up a number of billboards in California that we will see over the next few weeks as part of its “ Discover Bitcoin ” campaign.

Marco Streng , general manager and co-founder of Genesis Miner, spoke to CCN and revealed some details of the campaign.

We have 12 billboards in California and the campaign will run for four weeks.

In response to Russia’s proposal to ban Bitcoin, Genesis Miner published a blog post explaining the campaign:

The only solution is Bitcoin because Bitcoin will never be banned. Trump can't do it, Putin can't do it, no one can do it

Streng realized that the key to the problem lies in the efficiency of using Bitcoin and the functions it provides. He said: "We should make users aware that Bitcoin users can save time and money."

If people have ways to save money, who would consider Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies? Saving time and money is something everyone cares about, which is why Bitcoin has a place in society. And now that millions of people are finding it impossible to send money abroad, they will need Bitcoin even more.

He added: “We need to understand the real use of Bitcoin. While the topic of the future of Bitcoin’s underlying technology is still hot, we should find ways to prove that Bitcoin is already very practical today. ”

Of course, Bitcoin is already very useful. It can send money across borders without excessive regulation, whether or not the Trump wall is there.
