Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht attempts to appeal

Ross Ulbricht , who was sentenced to life in prison for creating and operating the Silk Road, a black market for bitcoin, has filed a new appeal in a U.S. court. Ross Ulbricht plans to file an appeal in June , arguing that the court withheld key evidence, casting doubt on the special operations of federal agents Carl Mark Force IV and Shaun Bridges and the U.S. government's investigation into Silk Road.

The defense has questioned the legality of some searches conducted during the federal investigation and said Ulbricht's rights to due process and a fair trial had been denied.

Ross Ulbricht was convicted in May last year and sentenced to life in prison for money laundering, drug trafficking and computer hacking.
