Dell May Have Opted Out of Bitcoin Payments

   Summary: Dell is one of the first international companies to announce that it accepts Bitcoin payments. In the past two years, a large number of Bitcoin users have used Bitcoin to purchase Dell's various products on Dell's official website. However, since the beginning of this year, many users have expressed in the Reddit community that they have encountered trouble when using Bitcoin to pay on Dell's official website.

     Once a large company accepts Bitcoin, it will bring a huge boost to the entire digital currency ecosystem. When Dell announced that it would accept Bitcoin payments, many Bitcoin enthusiasts were ecstatic, although this service was only available to US customers.

     However, recently, it has become almost impossible to use Bitcoin on Dell's official website. Some customers reported that when they submitted their orders and chose Bitcoin payment, nothing happened when they clicked the "Bitcoin" option. At first, people thought that there was an error in Coinbase (Dell's Bitcoin payment system is operated by Coinbase ). Later, Coinbase launched an investigation, but for a long time, the results of the investigation were not disclosed to the public. To this day, the problem has not been resolved.

But earlier today, a new report from Coinbase finally surfaced, suggesting that the problem was not caused by Coinbase , that is, Dell may have chosen not to accept Bitcoin payments.
