Hawaii regulators discuss legalizing Bitcoin

Many regions have been discussing the legalization of Bitcoin, and Hawaii is no exception. The state's financial institutions are currently debating the legalization of Bitcoin.

     According to Iris Ikeda of Hawaii Financial Institutions , there are currently many applicants in the state proposing to build Hawaii into a hotbed for Bitcoin development and trading.

     Financial institutions in the warm archipelago region have strong reservations about digital currencies, led by Bitcoin, according to Pacific Business News.

     Today in Belgium, EU finance ministers held a crisis meeting in the aftermath of the Paris terrorist attacks and decided to tighten controls on Bitcoin and other anonymous payment methods.

     According to CCN, the international hacker group "Anonymous" intercepted a Bitcoin wallet containing 3 million US dollars, which was allegedly related to the Islamic State.

     Germany's Der Spiegel magazine also reported that the G7 will hold a private meeting on Monday. Member states suspect that the Islamic State is using Bitcoin to raise funds privately, and the justice ministers of various countries unanimously agreed to crack down on this form of terrorist financing.
