Hackers investigating Paris attacks say Bitcoin is IS's primary form of cryptocurrency

     According to a report by Russia's Sputnik News on November 17, GhostSec, an affiliate of the Anonymous hacker group, announced that they had found a Bitcoin wallet by tracking transfer records. According to GhostSec, the wallet contained 3 million U.S. dollars and was related to the extremist organization "Islamic State" and the terrorist attacks in France .

Earlier, according to Deutsche Welle radio, the Islamic State holds gold and Bitcoin as currency to evade surveillance. It is believed that one of the wallets is held by an Islamic State branch and has received $23 million in Bitcoin in September.

After the Paris terrorist attack, when asked whether Ghost Security noticed any abnormal behavior or any danger signs from the extremist group Islamic State, a Ghost Security representative said: "Yes, we did detect signs related to terrorist attacks and are currently collecting valuable intelligence for the US government. I cannot go into more details about the current investigation."

The group reportedly said they believe Bitcoin is the primary form of cryptocurrency used by the extremist group Islamic State and have located several websites on the deep web that the Islamic State uses to accept donations.

Recently, the extremist organization "Islamic State" issued its own currency "Golden Dinar".

After the Paris terrorist attacks, the hacker group "Anonymous" announced that it would crack down on all social media accounts of the extremist organization "Islamic State" and prepare them for cyber attacks.
