Hollywood agency eyes Mt Gox movie rights, Bitcoin may hit the big screen

The story of the rise and fall of bitcoin exchange Mt Gox and its CEO Mark Karpeles may soon be told on the big screen.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film version of David Kushner’s recent Mt Gox story in Rolling Stone is being approached by CAA ^[1] .

If approved, it would be the second bitcoin story to enter the Hollywood pipeline, following the 2013 feature-length tale of online black market Silk Road, which was picked up by 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment.

The most critical question facing Hollywood executives in the Mt Gox story is: Who will play Kepler?

Using celebrity image comparison tool FacePlusPlus, and then using Kepler's photo, the result is →_→ Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise would be the best candidate to play Kepler.

Representatives for the agency were not immediately available for comment.
