Coinay launches Bitcoin exchange card, 3,000 stores in Spain can buy Bitcoin

Spanish consumers who want to buy bitcoin now have a new option. The service is called "Coinay" and allows people to buy bitcoin in 3,000 stores in Spain.

The specific operation is that the buyer purchases an exchange card and then uses this exchange card to exchange Bitcoin. Consumers need a reason to buy a product. Consumers buy other cards because they have that need, such as a Facebook credit certificate or a prepaid debit card.

Paolo Premoli, Head of Sales Southern Europe, said:

“Coinay makes it very easy for consumers to buy Bitcoin from retailers across Spain. It is quick and easy for consumers to use their vouchers to buy Bitcoin.”

Consumers can buy Bitcoin exchange cards with denominations of 10 euros to 100 euros. The maximum denomination that customers can buy is 100 euros. Coinay has not yet launched Bitcoin exchange cards with larger denominations. It is not clear whether a consumer can go to multiple stores to buy Bitcoin, but Coinay should not refuse the demand to buy Bitcoin. Of course, the more you buy, the better.

Coinay simplifies the complex process of buying Bitcoin. Users only need to buy the exchange card and enter a wallet address to receive Bitcoin. In the past, people who bought Bitcoin first had to figure out how to get Bitcoin. Online transactions and buying Bitcoin were also extremely complicated processes, so the Coinay service is indeed an improvement.

Coinay is not only targeting Spain, they also want to expand their business to other parts of Europe, and even to Africa and Latin America. It is said that Coinay has plans to enter Greece, depending on how the situation in Greece turns out.
